Many  strains  of  tuberculosis (TB) show  resistance  to  the  commonly  used  TB  drugs.  One  of  these  strains  is the  Multidrug-resistant  TB  (MDR  TB),  a  form  of  tuberculosis  caused  by  a  bacteria  resistant to isoniazid  and  rifampin,  the  two  most  potent  drugs  used  to  treat  patients  with  tuberculosis.

The  study  aims  to evaluate  the  antimycobacterial  property  of Wrightia  antidysenterica  chloroform leaf extract. Wrightia  antidysenterica  is known locally as “White Angel”.
